LINUX!

Now, I know that we are supposed to put only cool stuff here. However, I really don't give a crap cuz I feel like bitching. Granted, having never even seen Linux until about 4 days ago I probably shouldn't be a guru. Still, I sat there thinking I was just the bad ass m@#$%^ cuz ohhhh, I got the stuff installed. Who even cares? Oh, and I bought the book so that I would be even cooler. Not even the slightest bit cooler. Worse, I am a flipping Dork! I look at the book, look at my computer. Then look again. Absolutely no similarities. I don't have the slightest clue what the hell I am doing. All that I know is I am a Dork! Sure, I would love to be like those guys @ thinkgeek I would love to go around saying things like 'Linux is soo cool. Windows sucks!' Well, guess what I can't cuz I don't know what the fork I am doing. That being said, I shall not give up. I just wanted all of you readers to have to read about my probl..

I don't care whether you are Democratic or Republican.. if you vote for Gore, you are a MORON! I can't think of anyone I've ever seen that was full of more shit (and that's saying a lot)!

Aside from that, he fights like a bitch: Lieberman Says Bush Not Ready for White House

An Address by Emerson

I've been reading some of Ralph Waldo Emerson's essays and am just blown away by some of the stuff he wrote. I've read about 25 pages so far and I've already marked about 15 paragraphs. The following is a couple of paragraphs from an address he gave to Harvard Divinity School in 1838. Incidentally, it pissed off the faculty so much that it was 30 years before he was invited back to speak at Harvard.

The snow-storm was real, the preacher merely spectral, and the eye felt the sad contrast in looking at him, and then out of the window behind him into the beautiful meteor of the snow. He had lived in vain. He had no one word intimating that he had laughed or wept, was married or in love, had been commended, or cheated, or chagrined. If he had ever lived and acted, we were none the wiser for it. The capital secret of his profession, namely to convert life into truth, he had not learned. Not one fact in all his experience had he yet imported into his doctrine. This man ..

Men and Women

I hope this doesn't get my access taken away. Can I have at least one warning?

WOMEN
Women are honest, loyal, and forgiving. They are smart, knowing that knowledge is power; but they still know how to use their softer side to make a point. Women want to be the best for their family, their friends, and themselves. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. A woman can make a romantic evening unforgettable. Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes. They live in homes, apartments and cabins. They drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin! Women do more than just give birth. They bring joy and hope. And all they want back is a hug, a smile and for you to do the same to people you come in contact with.

I was thinking that it would be cool for us to tell some ghost stories being that it is almost Halloween. I can't really think of a good one just now except for the ghost that used to live in my house. It was very scary, but I doubt anyone would beleive me. So, somebody start if off:

Prayer Request

I realize it's tough to pray for someone you don't know, but I'd appreciate it if you take a second to say a quick one for a friend of mine and her family. She took her son to the doctor yesterday for pains he was having in his knees and they found 2 tumors. It's apparently pretty serious because they found and removed a similar tumor in his chest not too long ago (he's about 12 I think). I can't even imagine what they are going through. Thanks in advance!

I rock!

I found a couple cool songs tonight and was so inspired I decided to add a 'Featured Music' section to the sanctuary. Hopefully this weekend I'm going to build on this a bit so anyone can post up interesting music. As it is, all you can do is download the couple songs I've added. Obviously you'll need an MP3 player and such. If you don't know about MP3's by now, well, to quote David Spade, raise your hand and Tommy will come smack you with a tackhammer.

Also, found this article on MP3.com.. pretty funny:

What would Jesus do about copyright?

New Profession!

I have decided what I will do with the rest of my life. Today makes the third time that my girlfriends car has been broken into. I have noticed that the police never come. No one investigates. Therefore, no one ever gets caught. There is no risk. Just wait till everyone goes to bed and WHAM. It will only cost me the bat that I buy to smash peoples windows with. Of course I may have to go through some kind of training to remove the CD players, but I don't imagine that costs too much.

Stigmata

I finally saw Stigmata this past weekend. I thought it was a pretty cool movie. And yes.. I watched it despite the extensive warnings from the church. I can definitely see why they would take offense.

There's basically two story lines in the movie that merge together at the end. The first involves a young girl being stricken with the stigmata. The stigmata is a series of painful markings that mirror the crusifiction of Christ (holes in the wrist and ankles, deep slashes across the back, etc.). There are five in all with the last usually causing death (a gash to the side caused by the soldier's spear). Turns out, the stricken girl (Patricia Arquette) has been marked as a messenger, sent to reveal Jesus Christ's gospel. The original written gospel was buried by the catholic church because it was considered bad for the church. In it, Jesus supposedly warned Christians to be leary of placing..

Where's the Alamo?

I'm gonna be in Texas for a few days. Do whatever you have to to get by until I get back. It will be hard.. and honestly, some of you may not make it, but at least try. Be strong! There's probably support groups/cults you can join that may help with the withdrawal. Others of you may need to turn to more drastic measures such as hardcore drug use. This is understandable and you shouldn't be ashamed.

Peace out my brothers and sisters..
